Each paper house held the story of those who lived inside
Meeting but not meeting Elliot; the awkward man.
Connection is the central concept in this work whether through family, community or culture. It is about having a strong relationship to others and living through that attachment. It is what I have experienced and observed from some of the older cultures in this world. It is also about transcending our immediate, normal or functional state to embrace memory or a sense of the other– this is what I have explored to give the movement it’s quality or feel." - Peter Sheedy © Sofia Calado Photography

Little Shop of Horrors (2012)
THEATRE
PROP & CREATURE DESIGNER
"Special mention must of course be made of Audrey II, the carnivorous plant. Operated by eight puppeteers, Audrey II was spectacularly menacing. Her design and construction is a tangible testament of the quality of the performance."
-Ben Neilson; Australian Stage
The real star of the show is Audrey II, the lusty plant that just keeps on growing. Audrey II is a wonderful creation, a devilish mutant of Venus Fly Trap, Triffid and Octopus, magnificently managed by her "handlers" and impressively voiced by Jordan Cowan.
-Diana Carroll; InDaily
Heven & Erthe in Lytyl Space (2011)
DANCE
ASSISTANT DESIGNER
SCENIC ARTIST
A humorous retelling of the nativity story inspired by the passion plays of the medieval period. The set folded out like a giant medieval triptych. There were a few very interesting props in this piece including pull cord activated 2.5m span angel wings and an istantly inflated immaculate pregnency belly.
